You will be the first touchpoint in our clients’ recovery journeys, taking calls, providing information about our programs, talking through funding options, and giving families or individuals the hope they need to know that recovery for themselves or their loved ones is a real possibility, and we can make it happen!
You will be responsible for the safety, welfare, and comfort of the clients.

Responsibilities
Work with people in a friendly and caring manner.
Maintain a safe environment for clients and fellow staff.
Conduct yourself as a positive role model of the Walker Center.
Pass medications, chart, and document accurately as ordered by Medical Staff.
Ensure you know clients’ whereabouts and activities at all times.
Compile a shift report and daily documentation to meet deadlines.
Flexibility and availability for all shifts.
Use “Unconditional Positive Regard” to anyone connected with the Walker Center.
Informing and coaching clients on the rules and policies of the Walker Center.
Requirements
High school graduate/GED preferred
At least one year in a customer service role
Medication Certification & CPR Certification within 60 days of hire.
Must have a valid identification or driver’s license.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, have the ability to learn how to use and maintain Electronic Medical Records, and have proficient computer skills.
A history of responsible full-time employment is preferred.
A self-identified person in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder must have a minimum of three years of sobriety from substances of abuse. Must pass pre-hire requirements including a criminal background check, UA, and TB test.
Ability to continuously stand or walk, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently, squat occasionally, and maneuver in different positions, such as reaching, extending, and bending.

You will be working with substance use and mental health disorders, helping those in recovery find the hope, help and healing needed for recovery and relapse prevention.
Client Support Specialists are expected to do what they can to make clients comfortable at all times.
